Better quality photo

More salvage and more progress

Removed the nearside door and rear screen from the spares car today.

I could only do this as I have bought a cheap car cover which keeps the rain out of the cabin, boot etc and makes it look a bit better on my drive!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, BRP now has more of it's bits and piecs back on including the rear screen etc. The bootlid will be painted shortly along with under the bonnet on the suspension turret tops which were welded a couple of years ago but painted black!

The car should be complete in a couple of weeks and then I'll pick it up the first week-end in April

That's more like it!

And now - some scanned pictures of BRP in it's new livery.

Obviously it needs building up but it does look rather good

All painted - apparently

Latest update - BRP is now painted fully in the early works colours and apparently looks fantastic, superb etc etc

Trouble is, it's a 100 miles away and my brother isn't computer literate enough to take a digital photo and e-mail it to me

Talk about frustration

It should look like this

New ex-works rally car!

Yes, I couldn't stop myself from splashing out on another TR7 rally car.

This one is an ex works car, bought for only £3.95 from my local newsagents.

Shame it's not full size

10 minutes = £75!

Yes, 10 minutes work removed the indicator and lights control stalks from the spares TR7.

Cost new? Circa £75!

Who knows if I'll ever need them but they don't take up much room so now they are snugly stashed away with the Sprint pistons.

Of course, knowing what I actually have in the way of spares and where they are is another matter.

All white now

Weekly update - it's all white and looks really good apparently.

I will try and call next week and take a photo or two.

Next stage is to get the red and white side striping on, build it back up and tax it for April 1st
